Project Scope

From Photo Editing to End-to-End Product Catalog Management

The client initially engaged Team4eCom to handle eCommerce image editing — background removal, resizing, color correction, and cropping for product photos. As the quality and consistency of our work became evident, they broadened the scope considerably.

Team4eCom was assigned responsibility for product catalog management, attribute-level data entry, product listing creation (including open-box items), and the production of ‘scale images’ that accurately depicted product dimensions and context.

Product Photo Editing and Scale Image Production

A team of six photo editing specialists managed all visual asset production tasks:

  • Removed and replaced image backgrounds with clean white backgrounds across all product SKUs.
  • Recolored product images to support variation listings for different finishes.
  • Produced scale images placing products in accurate dimensional contexts to illustrate size, proportion, and utility.
  • Converted available side-angle product photos into front-angle scale images using reference data.

Product Data Entry and Catalog Listing

The catalog management team built and maintained product listings across the client's portal:

  • Extracted and structured product details from Excel files, capturing parent and variant-level attributes.
  • Mapped product data against 80+ required fields in the portal to create fully populated, comprehensive, and accurate listings.
  • Manually entered data for more than 50 products daily to sustain catalog growth at the client's expansion targets.
  • Validated dimensions, specifications, and model details against manufacturer websites to rectify any discrepancy before submission.

Open-Box Listing Management

Returned items (open-box products) were resold by the retailer at discounted prices. For these listings, our team:

  • Updated product records on the client’s portal to reflect revised conditions or modified package contents.
  • Applied open-box status tag and adjusted pricing on a per-product, case-by-case basis.
  • Created separate listings for eligible open-box variants and linked them to the corresponding original products.
